If we go by pure Vegas odds, Khan would be the favorite against anybody at welterweight aside from Floyd, Pac, and maaaaaaybe Thurman. He called out two out of three of them already, so what is OP talking about?

Khan was the one calling out Bradley and Bradley declined because he was angling for Pac. He just called out Cotto at middleweight.

Now that I think about it, Khan has shown more willingness to fight opponents who are considered above him than any other world class boxer today. GGG hasn't called out any favorites, Ward hasn't called out any favorites, Floyd hasn't, Cotto hasn't.

he was the underdog against corrales or castillo but thats was about the only time. Just like Pac and every other great when theyre in their prime theyre always the favorites

Exactly. You can't exactly be considered great if you're an underdog in a sea of favorites. This is the same logic as people who start threads asking, "how many undefeated prime ATGs did x beat to be considered great?"

Ali was about to hit his prime when he was a huge underdog against Sonny Liston. He was past his prime against George Foreman.

I don't buy this "you have to be an underdog and win" **** to be a true great, sometimes fighters are underdogs because they lose or underperform in other fights. Being a favorite all the time can just mean someone is a great fighter and the oddsmakers recognize this.

Mayweather was NOT the underdog against Castillo. He was a solid betting favorite.

The Corrales fight was closer but he was still a slight betting favorite.

Pacquiao still hadn't peaked, but he was a big underdog against Barrera. Then he was also an underdog against DLH.
