    He won silver

Take khan hand speed away and you would be able to close him down a lot easier andstop him with his weak chin and weak punches. When he was at domestic level his defence wasn't the best that's why he left Oliver Harrison

No: too chinny, leaky defence, gets sucked in to having tear ups and isn't dedicated enough to boxing.

To qualify that last remark, it must be said that Khan, in terms of ability, appears to have regressed since hiring Virgil Hill as his head trainer -- largely due to Khan's own admission that he is only ever in the gym when he is in camp, during the build up to a fight. Contrast this to his gym mate, Andre Ward who, by all accounts, is a complete gym rat, training and working on technique even when he doesn't have a fight in the pipeline.

Yawn, because it's getting tiresome picking holes in your agenda every time. Brook has wanted the Khan fight for YEARS, so you're completely wrong to insinuate that "he wants Khan" because Spence is his mandatory.

Now you're trying to discredit Shawn Porter as a fighter to somehow boost Khan? Porter vs Brook was a good fight and contrast of styles between two quality operators. Fact - Most people on this forum had Porter in their P4P top 10 at the time of the Brook fight. It's very easy to discredit this victory now that Brook has got the win, a win I may add that is better than anything Khan has on his manufactured resume.

Brook vs Khan is the biggest fight in the UK for both fighters, so it makes total sense that this happens.

I remember when certain posters said Brook would never fight GGG, just saying.

The reality is though you don't win silver it means you lost the gold
Khan is lucky in that people don't usually remember second place its the winners
Where as many don't even know who beat khan for gold it just
17 kid won silver rah rah rah

What people don't realize is khan actually stalled brooks career Olympics this sponsor ship that media fwank already had kell then he signed khan and kell was pushed further back and was practically left in the doldrums with no media interest no backing and his promoter not even promoting him properly

So kell did have it hard and had to work twice as hard as khan to achieve success

    Good post.

Khan had everything handed to him on a silver platter, it's almost the same as what happened with Audley except Khan was better (slightly).

Hang on, so because Kell can't get the Khan fight does that mean that he can only face nobodies in the meanwhile?

What has Porter done? Please tell me. He was never in my top 10.

I agree his competition hasn't been the best, but I don't think that's the fighters fault. He hasn't just been handed big fights on a platter to him the way Khan has and that's the point I was trying to make.

I see your point, but isn't it funny how when he's got a dangerous mandatory there's an excuse? Yet when it's a walkover he's 100% ready to go?

He won an Olympic medal because his pitty-pat punches are scored the same as a power punch in the amateurs.

What Mando's are you talking of. Brook has faced all his mandatory opponents and the next one hasn't been called yet.

Can you please elaborate on the mandatory he has avoided making excuses?
