Yet the end result is Amir Khan after doing all what you said has now come back to the table to make a Brook fight as that's the only money fight left for him. Right now I would say Brook is in a far better position career wise than Khan is.
Quite obvious Khan has finally realised the only money fight out there for him now is Brook. All he wants is the money. So much so, he fought nobodies for years while praying Mayweather or Pacquaio would fight him. Basically threw away what should have been the best years of his career. Mind you, that epic glass jaw is there to be shattered any time he fights. I don't like Khan. I've no problem with a guy protecting his glass jaw to make a living if need be but don't try tell us you're an elite fighter while doing so. He's embarrassed himself and the sport in recent years I feel. He doesn't deserve the Brook payday.
I know Brook has a poor resume but he never got the opportunities Khan did. Khan was in a position to pick anyone he wanted to fight (outside of Pac or May) and he chose to fight past it big names or just poor opposition. His only really world class win is v Maidena and he barely survived. Brooks win over Porter is miles better than anything Khan done at welterweight!
I dont really see the relevance. I replied to someone that was saying khans careers been smoke and mirrors. My reply was brooks records actually worse than khans. Regardless whoevers in the best position the fight makes the most money for either of them. Khans not gonna be paid millions for a garcia rematch. At the same time brooks not gonna get millions for spence either. Hearns kidding people on that everyones now desperate to fight brook anyway...this is the man that said cotto wants the liam smith fight cause he fought so well against canelo. Its his job to hype his fighters. If anything less people would want to fight brook if he was as good as hearn says against golovkin. Bearing in mind the reason hearn claimed he couldnt get a good fight was because everyone knows how good brook is...they wanted to avoid him. What happened to that. The fight makes sense anyway. Again i m just saying we ve got different standards for both brook and khan. We either condemn both of them or neither. The truth is if khan signs to fight brook it makes a mockery of the guys that were claiming khan was scared to fight him. Again what we get now is hes only doing it cause its the money fight and his only option. Which is it? Scared or only option even tho hes got other options. Again just anything to criticise him. Khans haters come because hes deluded...i get it...hes not anywhere as good as he thinks he is...but he actually has had a half decent career. The guys hes fought you ve actually heard of unlike a lot of guys...we re wanting to put above him in p4p lists.
What about the fact porter actually drew with that diaz. The guy khan beat. He fought him a second time and struggled again. The same guy that everyone criticised khan for struggling with. Or alexander that khan completely shut out. Porter beat him by 3 points. The fight before the khan one. Although it sounds good to enhance brooks win against porter the reality is its not as great a win as people try to make out
He actually struggled against alfonso gomez. His names been built off knocking mallinaggi out in the fourth. The reality is pauli cant or wont be able to take any decent fighters power at 147. Garcias old man actually told the son after the first round he cant take your power...was clear to see. Khan beat mallinaggi years before at his proper weight anyway. Hes a decent fighter porter...good workrate. Hard worker etc. But lets not talk like hes floyd mayweather. I actually had him beating brook. By a point or two.
Brook is at/in the prime stage of his career with the pick of fights at 147 and 154 where as Khan has been knocked out yet again and has no where to go. Khan won't win another meaningful fight ever again. That's what I mean by different stages of their careers. Khan's entire career has been smoke and mirrors, if Brook had the kind of undeserved push behind him that Khan had after a silver medal (think Audley) then I'm sure he wouldn't have lost to people like Limmond, Prescott and Peterson. Brook's career since the announcement of the GGG fight has gone to the next level where as if Khan takes on Brook it will be his last ever fight. Quite OBVIOUSLY at different stages of their careers.
What do you mean by 'undeserved push'? Khan was clearly an excellent amateur who won a medal at the olympics. All successful Olympic boxers are obviously going to have more exposure when they turn pro.
IMO, Khan should avoid Spence like the plague. He would end his career. Also, I think Khan should retire now. He's been slurring his words lately. That's what happens when you've been KO'd 3 times and been down more times than a hooker's panties.
Just watched the latest IFL interview with Khan and I read a comment mentioning about Khan possibly showing early signs of being slow and slurring his speech etc. I watched the video and I think the poster has a point.
he said in the interview ''' Im a superstar in my own right'' hahahhahha hilarious delusion ( or trolling?) lol I think getting Ko'd embarassingly by Canelo in his last fight makes him think hes a superstar lol Canelo could have fought Bradley skeete and it would have still sold out.
Looks like he's on the verge of his wife leaving him and getting a divorce, which is probably the reason why he's suddenly seemed interested in a Brook fight knowing he's going to be having to pay out big wonga. Exactly the same reason as why David Haye has launched a 'comeback'.
