I don't think so if Degale is still there and still winning.
Degale has taken and won fights with Dirrell and Bute who Ward didn't face and done what Ward hasn't which is travel as champ.
Let's not forget that someone from Degales team pointed out that Ward changed his mind about facing James

    Ward would embarrass Degale.

    It wouldn't even be competitive.

Ward always looked massive, and weigh in day dry at 168, so i can't see the older version being able to make the weight tbh.

In fact he looks massive at 175 !

Dirrell, who was damaged goods ? The same Dirrell who'd only had 5 fights in 5 years prior to facing Degale ? Are you seriously suggesting that was the same version that fought Froch and Abraham ?

Bute, a boxer mover ? then how come the so called wooden Froch managed to walk him down and beat him senseless, whilst barely taking a shot himself ?

Degale, a boxer mover ? Please

    No!

He himself said he had trouble making the weight and didn't know if he could still make it before moving up.
Recently he said he would be stupid to try to go back down...

Guess that kinda sums it up.

He said it's hard for him to make 175 lol
Not a chance, winner of DeGale-Jack will have to move up and face him which I'd like to see.

    How was dirrell damaged goods?
I like how you wrote Dirrell had only had 5 fights in 5 years prior but fail to really note that he had, had 3 fights in less than an year prior to facing Degale which shows you have an agenda. Kessler had only had one tuneup in a year before giving Ward a shot. Bika, another big win of Wards had only had less than a round of action in the year before facing Ward, so stop trying to make facts suit rather than tell the whole story.
Froch took plenty from Bute but was able to walk through them. Bute was a boxer mover. Only someone who doesnt know boxing would say otherwise and you also forget Froch had home advantage. Who knows how fighting undefeated Bute would have done against Froch in Canada.
