Will Andre Ward win a title?

Honestly, I've never seen him fight and I'm disappointed that I haven't got round to watching him yet.

Have scarely seen Dirrell either. I definately need to look at them both more closely.

Based on the opposition he's had its impossible to tell at this point. He looks like a fairly solid fighter, but he's fought mostly cans. The fact that he couldn't put away Buchanan is a bit troubling, but the fact that he had Buchanan figured out from the get-go was encouraging. I just don't think one can really tell until he ups the competition a little bit, although I am optimistic; he seems solid all around with no real glaring strengths or weaknesses, but again he needs to raise the bar on the competition.

 

Being a fan since his amature career, I've seen each of his pro fights and I truley think he will be a title holder in the near future. He's had some rocky moments in early fights, but he's shown to have grown since then.

 

I'm sur e he will......the WBC USNBC International interim title.

 

He will win a title but I don't think he's anything to be in awe of.

He's not someting that I haven't seen before -- just because he won a gold medal, doesn't mean a big deal should be made of him. He's been a pro for 5 yrs and he's not had a title shot yet - with his amateur background, he shouldve been in a world title bout.

He doesn't impress me ... he should be further along in his career -- right now, the division of 168 is as deep as it has ever been and if these guys choose to stay for a few years, i'm sure that he's going to run into a serious threat.

I like Andre Dirrell a bit better --

He should have been fight 12 rounders --

 

I'm not sure about his chin either ... he hasn't faced a serious threat as far as pushing him to the limit ... he needs to fight good quality guys ... and you would think there would be guys knocking down doors to fight such a decorated amateur.

Man Gamboa is only 2 yrs into his career and is already championship bound by years end.

 

Ward is a talented fighter but IMO has not shown the dominance we should be seeing from him at this point in his career.

I think he is going to be in for a huge shock once he gets in the ring with a top 5 fighter.

 

Sakio Bika, a journeyman?

I think Sakio Bika will tell what Andre Ward is made of ... he won't stop Bika but he can possibly take him to the scorecards - if he survives that long.

 

I would love to see Ward in the ring with someone like bika it would be a great test for him.

 

He's a good prospect but I think Dirrell is better. Dirrell has been in there with the better fighter's(Hanshaw and Oganov) and has looked impressive. Neither one of there chin's are the best but Dirrell atleast show'd against Oganov that he doesn't have a glass chin.
