Doubt a world champion, he's only been boxing a few years and was very very lucky to get a decision at the Olympics. Jury is still out, but lots of potential...

 

He did not win the gold, he lost that fight, but was given the fight by idiot judges. Hughie Fury is only 18, 6 foot 8 inches tall, was he Jr. Amateur champion, has really good technique. Then there are others....................

I can see some reason why you might give Joshua the Camarelle fight other then him being the home fighter, although for me he clearly lost.
But no way in London Hell he should have given the nod over Savon in the 1st round. That was a robbery any way you fvckin' slice it!

Of course that doesn't mean he can't make it in the pros of course. Some boxers who got the gold never made it, and others who didn't make it to the medals became big names afterwards.

No, just what happens at any Olympic boxing event (or any other jury sport at the Olympics). The home country gets very favorable decisions and a lot of undeserved medals.

There was some study about it just before the last games started, wich said that the host nation gets nn% (forgot the numbers) more medals as usual and a large percentage of those are undeserved.

So it happens in any country, at any Olympics, and the nationality of the jury doesn't matter much.
