Khan - Silver in 04 - turned pro 05 - commonealth title - 07 - world title shot 09 Degale, Gavin & Saunders - Olympics 08 - turned pro 09? First domestic belt 2011? - World title shot 2013? Who will suceed? Will any not reach the domestic belt?
Khan won the commonwealth belt in 2007. And I don't think so, no. None are as talented technically. And if they fight at 168 (Degale) 147 (Saunders) and 140 (Gavin), it's not like there's gonna be easy belts to target. Very strong divisions.
I have edited the original thread and amended the commonwealth typo. I think all could win domestic belts within the same period. Degale would have Jeffries coming through at the same time, but luckely for him Sutherland is not eligable for British and Commonwealth At 147 Kell Brook would have moved on to better things in 2 years time At 140 I do not see any obstacles in 2 years time
Domestic belts by all means, I was referring more to depth in world-class, and the difficultly of them potentially winning a world title with the next 4 years.
I'm not so sure. Look at the age of the top guys at 168. In four years they'll be finished or very diminished versions of what the are now. At 168 at the moment the only young guy I can see is Murat and he's very crude, Jefferies or DeGale should be able to outbox him. 140 Witter and Hatton will be gone, Bradley is very good but not great. Will Amir still be at 140? I've always thought he'd end up at 147. Gavin isn't a big puncher but is fast adaptable a thinking mans fighter and has every shot in the book. I can see Saunders winning a title. If Khan for example was at 147 in 2013 I think Saunders could ko him.
i feel one day they could all hold world titles, possibly not degale, but the others all have a good attribute that they can put to good use
All of them will win domestic titles. And if I had to pick one to be a world champ it would be Gavin.
