I see people say Mayweather would "whup" these guys. If "whup" = being called a COWARD by your own FATHER on GLOBAL TV, then I agree, he could potentially "whup" a lot of guys. But actually beat them up? Hell no. He would run like a coward and exploit boxing's rule set with his touch and go style, while simultaneously ruining the sport, and destroying the earning potential of true warriors who DESERVE an audience, such as KEITH THURMAN tonight. Due to Mayweather's cowardly display, a guy like Thurman might have half the audience he would have had if Mayweather actually backed up his talk, and beat Pacquaio, instead of manipulating the rules and blatantly robbing him of a victory. How can they resolve this??? They can penalize clinches more rapidly, especially when a fighter is using it as an "offensive" approach. They can also reduce the ring size, which will make guys have to display their actual boxing skills, rather than exploiting a touch and go style that destroys the sport.
Actually, I think incentivizing fighters to go for the KO would greatly improve the quality of fights.

Even if that were true, at least, Pac would show up to fight. Mayweather would literally RUN from each one of them. He would NOT fight. SRL would WHUP his ASS if he chose to fight. Duran would WHUP his ASS if he chose to fight. Hearns would WHUP his ASS no matter what cuz you can't RUN from him. Hagler...LOL...it would just be embarrassing to watch Mayweather against Hagler. Hagler would just be calling him a bltch the entire fight.
Clear trolling here. I'll nibble. Thurman has not faced any of the upper echelon welters. I like Thurman. But, he is mostly hype until he gets in there with the best guys. He should have his sights on Porter, Brook, and Khan right now. He is not ready for Floyd. And he is only looking for a come up. Floyd clearly is in the class of ATGness. Even the ATG fighters say he is an ATG. The clinch is fine as a tactic. And most of the greats used it. A capable fighter knows how to fight out of the clinch or avoid being clinched.
Yep these so called boxing fans have never heard a corner say don't let him tie you up or fight out of it.
