The WBA investigating and finding in favour of Evander would set a precedent that results consider suspicious can and will be overturned if need be. We can't let results/events like Reid vs Ottke or Williams vs Airich go without enquiry or boxing will continue to suffer as a sport. What do you think of the WBA investigation?
A rematch...don't expect any more than that. The WBA won't want to point the finger of blame directly at themselves. I think they'll just say it was so close, a rematch should happen...but Chagaev is due to fight Valuev first. I think Chagaev is going to beat Valuev anyway though, and I don't think Holyfield will care about Valuev without a belt.
IMO it will not. if the WBA overule the result then every single fighters team with clout will contest every close contest in WBA title fights the WBA having set a precedent.
Nothing more then a rematch otherwise as stated already your opening a can of worms of every fight result being contested by the losing fighters team. Although I have to say how long does it take these guys to review the friggin tape of the fight! Christ get a few of the guys round crack a couple of beers and watch it already!
