Will Arum let Rigondeaux anywhere near Donaire?

This is the fight at 122. But will Arum let it happen and risk golden boy Donaire? I have no doubt the Cuban Yoda would make Donaire look like a bumbling amateur. I doubt Arum lets it happen

Assuming Donaire gets past Vazquez, they talked about him unifying with WBC champ Nishioka. I'd like to see Arum have Rigondeaux unify with Ndlovu and then see the winners have at it. But you might be right. Donaire makes Arum money, Rigondeaux so far costs Arum money.

How much do assassinations on old men cost these days? Maybe ESB could pool some money together and smooth the way for this fight to happen. Just askin.

If Rigo-Donaire were to happen, it would likely fail to amount to the clamour and expectations that the fight gets from hardcore fans. It has stinker written all over it.

I'd rather see Mares move up and face Donaire at some point.

love donaire but it's news to me that he's a golden goose to arum. i live in the city right next to him and i'm not even sure he could go into starbucks and not be hasseled for autographs and pics unles i was there. the same can be said for andre ward if was sitting down at a burger joint in oakland, i seriously doubt he'd get more than 3 people walking by who know who he is.

I can't see Donaire v Rigondeaux happening this year. Donaire has only mentioned Vasquez, Nishioka and Arce. Don't know that Rigondeaux is on his radar yet.

He's on his radar, he'll just play it cool in public like he doesn't even know his name. But I assure you, with him moving up to 122, he knows all about Rigo.

While it wasn't a very scintillatiing fight, I was extremely impressed with how well Rigo controlled EVERY aspect of it, against a guy with a solid pedigree himself. If he manages to take the role of counter-puncher with Donaire pursuing, I can see him outboxing and outfoxing Nonito. Both these guys are at their best when they fall into the role of the counterpuncher, and I don' find Donaire is dynamic enough when on the offensive to really expose Rigo.

Would love to see that match for sure, though.

Donaire would fkn' KILL this guy. Can you imagine this guy throwing 11 punches a round v. Donaire and NOT getting ktfko? But, Riggo may as WELL take his dhot at his age because it would end his career, anyway, just sayin'. WV2 would end his career, as well.
