Will athleticism help in boxing?

    By athleticism, I mean being strong, agile, etc. the athletic traits of a sports player. Would these attributes matter in the ring? Or would it not matter when you are matched up?

    No I think you don't want to be agile strong or fast as a boxer

    Lol I see the sarcasm. Let me clarify. Let’s say a very athletic boxer with goodtechnique meets a boxer with not as much athleticism but has better technique. Will athleticism play a factor or will technique overwhelm athleticism?

    It depends, but in general athleticism does have the ability to cancel out flaws in technique. Look at Wilder for example, he does not possess very good boxing capabilities (technique wise), but he compensates for this with tremendous power(athleticism), reaction time (athleticism) and fighting instinct. So yeah athleticism is a very important factor in boxing.
