Come on Sox mate CHB kept the board rolling over nice , some of his boxing threads were very enjoyable and great points of debate , I know you had your problems with him
But he seemed a decent guy IMO .

 

CHB was very informative and constructive for a long time, that is until he became obsessed with trying to rid the board of Mandy huggers and his (poor) attempt at detective work.
He was directly responsible for ****ing a lot of threads.

It wasn't only me who thought he became a douche.

Well let me start by saying my dick is well and truly where it should be...in my pants. I respect your opinion that Geale isnt exciting to watch. I'm no Geale nuthugger, but I might be if he had a killer punch. My talking about P4P is simply an end goal and what it means for any fighter to be the best. It's just something to aspire to. I'm not saying that's what he's destined for or anything.

I guess my weakness is that I'm seriously patriotic and want to see Aussie fighters on the world scale as the best out there. Actively trying to achieve that goal. If I get a sense he's going all Mandy with his career, I'll be pissed and one of the first to criticise.

I can admitt Sam deserves a title shot in that he's doing what's asked of him by the IBF. Happy to agree to disagree on the spectacle that would be Geale v Soliman. I'd just rather see him get that unification fight.

I'm not sure if he'll reach superstardom either, but I have a strong feeling he will actually go after it.

Time will tell and I don't think enough has gone by yet with Geale to call it :good

 

Hahahaha, no need to agree to disagree on the potential spectacle of Geale vs. Soliman Bruise, I never said it would be a spectacle, just that Sammy has earned a crack.

Geale nuthuggers are blinded by their faith. Thats ok, I can understand this.

Geale is a very good boxer, potentially great. He has a great boxing style, solid and balanced - yet moves well. Good both inside and out. I think he is a great example as to how to box.

But, boxing is as much a show as a sport.

I see the UFC launched 'The Smashes' The Ultimate Fighter. Great idea.

Australia vs England has always been an interesting sporting matchup and fits combat sport well. Geale should have a fight with Soliman to lift his profile. Soliman is one hell of a fighter and is no automatic win. Its a good fight and would be interesting to watch. A pure boxer against an unothordox one. Then if Geale gets past that he fights an Englishman is what would be 'The Battle for the Ashes'......

Forget the US for the moment.
