Will bad officiating happen in the Cleverly-Kovalev fight?

Thats a load and you know it. He is hated because he is a **** poor referee, the stoppage of Manfredo could not be justified, those slaps did nothing to him and his face showed no damage, only genuine surprise, when the fight was stopped.

 

I just hope Kovalev doesn't get disqualified for hitting Cleverly in the face with his fists.

 

The funniest thing is the "hated because he's a gypsy" part.
I didn't know that he was before I read that sentence, but now it's suddenly clear to me how he came up with that atrocious "unbiased" scorecard in the Fury vs McD fight. I always thought it was about protecting the up and comer.

 

I expect the referee to be very biased. The judges? They have already filled out their cards! I think the officiating in this fight will be a disgrace!

 

Its a legitimate concern for Kovalev fans, but if hes going to win it itll probably be by KO so it mightnt matter much.

 

Bad officiating is always a risk with certain promoters. Even a KO can be prevented by bad officiating (e.g. calling BS fouls, not calling knockdowns, giving a fighter a BS reason to rest like taping his glove).

Ringing the bell 45 seconds early, referee obstructing a boxer if the home fighter is in danger of being KO'd, not calling a full on KO at all... etc. etc.

I am really hurt by these comments that suggest I would be unfair in my job.
I would never show favoritism toward Cleverly. The FACT that Nathan Cleverly is the very best LHW in the world and Kovalev is a filthy Russian bum, will in no way affect my officiating.
