Now Bivol has just gained a bunch of fans, had a convincing win over the sports PPV darling and has been called out by a still relatively unknown champion IN HIS DIVISION who knowledgeable boxing fans realize is no worse than a 50/50 fight. Having said that, a lucrative rematch with Canelo looms and would quite possibly evaporate if Bivol lost. I'm very interested to see how he approaches this. Would be a great fight.
Arum will never let that happen. Shame, he really needs to go already. I'm not trying to paint with a broad brush here but every single boxing promoter is an incompetent thief that would gladly hit their own Grandmother over the back of the head with a pool queue until she had detached retinas for a dollar.
Sadly, Arum just said the other night he doesn't want it. He made some comments about Bivol's drawing power, but the real reason is he hates Hearn.
As far as i understand the fight with Yarde is set and done for October ? The interviewer even said it's announced ... This content is protected So Beterbiev may call whoever he wants, but if he really wants to fight Bivol he should demand that fight on his promotion or just left that old ***** Arum.
I'm hoping that this is the one time in boxing history that marinating a fight has worked. It must happen next.
Lol! Yeah... Both guys are undefeated - Bivol just "upset" Clenelo, and Beterbiev is a monster with a 100% KO streak. This fight is easier to sell than it ever will be. As Lufcrazy said this could actually be one of the few instances where a fight marinating actually works out.
