Will Benevidez even get out of second gear?

I agree buddy. Caleb isn’t a dummy. His game plan tonight is stick and get out of range. His conditioning is the #1 question on my mind tonight with Caleb. Can he hit and move, move and hit for 12? Remains to be seen but I see a good ass fight on the horizon

 

He's smarter than that. You can tell that by the way he's handling the interviews and the weigh-ins. David is the one going off the deep end. I think that David, with his insults and disrespect, focused Plant like he has never been focused before. He created a monster. I am still leaning towards David but he made this fight a lot harder for himself and there is a possibility that he could lose.

 

Does make you wonder if the pace is fast how that will affect Benavidez in the later rounds

 

I can't believe people are picking Plant here. If he couldn't deal with Canelo's pressure, he is in a world of trouble against a guy who is a true pressure fighter in every sense of the word.

Canelo is in fact pretty low volume, although I'll concede his defense is much better than Benavidez. But defense isn't going to matter against Plant, who has no right hand and has not KO'd any elite level fighter. Plant is gonna get walked down and stopped and it could happen before the 5th round. Plant isn't some defensive wizard, he's going to eat plenty of shots.

This fight is a mismatch to my eyes and maybe I'm missing something here. I just don't see a path of victory for Plant, who I doubt is able to just move around the ring for 12 rounds without taking damage and slowing down.

 

Plant is winning this on points, you can quote me on that.

 

I want to watch this fight live, but I just can't justify the expense, so instead, I'll be tuning into the best RbR in the universe.
