To say you dont think Hopkins will go this route this time is one thing.
But to call the possibility that Hopkins will quit when he has a history of doing and wanting to do such things in many different fights.....
Whats so ridiculous about contemplating Hopkins may go that same route again?

Old Joe got banned for posting gay porn of all things :oops: and he still hasn't realised the irony of making threads about fighters quitting when he's one of the big Vitali Quitschko nuthuggers on this board :lol::patsch

With hours and hours of video footage of Bernard available, all you can find is that one somewhat racist comment. Compare that to you spamming your blatant racism all over this and several other websites and like I said, you are a racist piece of ****, which leaves you in no position to call anybody else one, least of all Hopkins.

ummm you suck and this poll sucks and you should walk away from boxing. go join a gymnastics forum. If you think hopkins faked it you are delusional and almost definitely homosexual.

this fight will be choppy, will be close, hopkins will land the clean effective punches, dawson will throw flurries with little effective punches landed, and it will come down to the judges looking at activity vs effectiveness.

He's never "acted" at the risk of losing. He's taken breaks, he's strategically exaggerated fouls, but never at the expense of losing. Hopkins didn't train to come in the shape that he was in, only to quit after being thrown to the canvas in the 2nd round. If Hopkins were that liberal about losing when the going gets tough, he would have cried foul on the first knockdown against Pacal, and found a way to quit after the second knockdown, which both happened well before the halfway point. At this stage of his career, I don't believe Hopkins would sign a fight, go through training camp, and be prepared to find a "way out" with a loss on his record. He's never done that before, despite being in considerably more trouble in the past.

    :yep

Hmmmmm! "I would never let a white boy beat me!"

    Somewhat racist?

LOL! Hopkins was trying to get under Calzaghe's skin, and it turned out it backfired on Hop's!

"I will never let a white boy beat me!"
Calzaghe whipped Hopkins pschologically and Hopkins was beat the moment he said that!:deal

I said something similar to this right after the fight, but I still favor Dawson

Hopkins was knocked down cleanly vs Pascal. There was'nt a window to quit there without making it look like he was a quitter.

If Hopkins gets knocked down and finds himself in trouble against Dawson early, I dont think Hopkins will quit in that scenario.

The window has to be there for him to make an excuse afterward and not let it be so clear that he quit because he was getting beat.

Listen up. If Hopkins quits, it will be right at the moment where the beatdown is commencing, not during or at the tail end of it.

A fighter senses when he's about to get his ass whooped. Hopkins found out very early againt Dawson the first fight and he grasped at the window of opportunity to bail the first chance he got.
He'll do it again if the window is there for him to do so and then he'll yell and scream it was Dawson that wanted to bail.
This my friend is Bernard Hopkins. The same Bernard Hopkins who wanted a breather in the Jones Jr. fight and would have been perfectly allright with him had the ref disqualified Jones at the time he was bogusly complaining of a punch behind the head somehow short circuiting him.:nut

Please, we both know what Hopkins is capable of and its will be no shock to me to have him quit again if the opportunity is there for him to do so.

Tell me this honestly, do you think Pascal is a better rounded fighter than is Dawson?

Be real here, Dawson is much more the skilled fighter when you compare him to Pascal.

Dawson lost to Pascal because Dawson is a lazy fighter. If Dawson is not particularly up for a fight he fight lazy and with no urgency.
Dawson only started to fight vs Pascal when he realized his titles were slipping away. Dawson almost had Pascal at the end, but he waited to long for that urgency to kick in.

You best believe Dawson will be 100% physically and mentally prepared for anything Hopkins brings.
If there is one thing we know is that Dawson will be 100% prepared for the simple reason he dislikes Hopkins with a passion.

I dont see Dawson excusing Hopkins and taking it easy on him because he's a living boxing legend.
Dawson is going to bring it, and imo Hopkins is going to come down under the ire of Chad Dawson!

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but thats my honest take on the matter.

He won't quit this time but he will use his usual spoiler tactics and do everything possible to make an ugly fight, just like The Joe C fight. He'll lose by ud...
