Thats certainly a possibility that Hopkins will land the 3 or 4 telling blows of the fight, do very little of anything else, and then claim that he beat a fighter that fought him 3 minutes of every round and outhustled him in every way.

Somebody has to tell Bernard you dont win a round by landing one telling blow in it and then going into survival mode while the other figher is working and being busy the full 3 minutes landing decent shots of his own.:deal

Yes, pointing out the stereotype that white people on a whole are inferior to blacks when it comes to boxing and most other athletic sports is somewhat racist even though it's ****ing true. Props to Calslappy for not giving a **** and leaving it to a bunch of tards on the internet to get all excited about and act like it's such a big ****ing deal even years after the fact.

The first knockdown was not clean, it was right behind the head. Hopkins adapts as the fight goes on, we all know this; to think he didn't know Dawson would be a fight of adversity going in, and for him to suddenly lose the poise he's had all his career, is just conjecture spouted by those who already dislike Hopkins for their own reasons.

Hopkins has never quit in a fight before, and has only strategically taken breaks in order to win. I would take anyone's bet that Hopkins does not look for an out in this rematch that involves acting.

He was thrown to the ground and suffered a dislocated shoulder. If that's quitting then anyone who has ever sustained an injury during the course of a fight and was unable to continue is a quitter.

BHop won't quit this time around but I think he will lose a close decision.
It was probably time to retire after he avenged the Pascal loss but I think this is still, even at his age, easy money for him.
1 more narrow loss won't affect his legacy - he is a definite first ballot HOF whatever happens and a win would be a great finish to a great career.
In hindsight, losing his first fight was probably a good thing in that he never felt losses for more than they were - a bad day at the office.
I hope he wins and I will be placing a small wager on Bhop by decision. (the odds are v good)

    "Strategically taking breaks!"
I like the way you spin that Tazo. :yep

Listen my friend, to show you how strong I feel about my stance on Hopkins vs Dawson, If this rematch is even competitive or Hopkins even takes his beating like a man, I'm going to be the first to rehash this thread and aplogize on my stance on Bernard Hopkins.

I just strongly feel that Hopkins is'nt the type to admit when an opponent is better than him on the night, and if he has a window of opportunity to bail he's going to do so again in this fight.
Thats my gut feeling on this matchup, and anyone is welcomed to bring this thread up and throw it at my face, because I surely will say I was wrong about it if Hopkins wins or even stays the course for the entire fight.

Well your wrong. He admitted in this interview with Larry Merchant that he knew he loss to Roy Jones and still admits that he loss the fight till this day. Maybe you should put your hate for Hopkins to the side(because you are the second biggest Hopkins hater on this forum behind primadonna kool) because if you were a fighter, you wouldn't say you loss either, if you feel you didn't lose and may people don't feel he loss those fights with Taylor and Calzaghe. I don't understand why it's so hard for you to understand the difference between a controversial decision and losing decisively because neither Joe or Taylor beat him decisively.

I highly doubt he quits twice in a row, that would be career/legacy suicide!

He will cry foul though, maybe take a break or two but will see it to the end.

I don't think Hopkins pretended the first time. Hopkins really is an old man. But to answer the question, Hopkins isn't going to quit this time. He's just going to simply get knocked out. Hopkins will retire, people will love him, and he'll go into the HOF after a great career. But Hopkins is going to get knocked out.
