I regularly find myself questioning the engine argument, and that’s for all fighters. The example I use here is Joshua vs Breazeale. Joshua had a good punch output, moved around the ring well, carried his power throughout, and looked like he could go for another 20 rounds. Now fast forward to the Wlad fight! He was done by the midpoint of the 4th.

People neglect to look at nervous energy being burned, or mental energy. Being over eager, or any number of other possibilities that will effect how you go through your energy levels. What I will say for Miller is that he literally walks his opponents down, walking being the key word, which will use less energy, and he’s more of a solid arm puncher, which again will use less energy. But against Wach, and another that went the distance (I can’t recall which one) he did seem to take rounds off in terms of his output.

Again, it comes down to the intrigue of if Miller can utilise his weight advantage. Personally I’ve seen a couple of lacklustre performances recently from him against subpar opposition that says his weight advantage will not count for much in terms of an outcome in his favour.

I don't think Miller can walk through AJ for 12 rounds.

AJ is not a one shot nighty night puncher like Wilder he throws hurtful combinations and for a come forward guys like Miller that spells trouble.

He might have the chin to take one or two but by the time the 3rd and 4th hit in a row thats when his brain gets scrambled.

Miller isn't elusive like Parker and Takam so he will be taking combinations and he doesn't seem to have the power to really threaten AJ.

Guys with good chins like Povetkin (took a flush shot from Price) and Kevin Johnson couldn't survive the onslaught...

Joshua's power is nothing like Miller has yet faced in a boxing ring. It's not a whipping power like Wilders, it's kind of a hybrid power; heavy handed but with quick hands and accurate combos. Like a slightly less destructive George Foreman but with more speed.

When Miller ships that first short, twisted right hand like the one Povetkin tasted, it will demonstrate how this fight is likely to go. My bet is that he goes into his shell because it's what everyone else has done thus far and there's no reason to think that Miller will be any different. Unlike say Parker, Miller won't be able to get out of the way enough and there's only gonna be one outcome.

In the words of Clubber Lang. My prediction?

    Pain...

I said long ago about Joshua that what if he just keeps on winning, will he still get the same old crap written about him.AJ is a great boxer as his record suggests.

What an incoherent post. What is it with you AJ fans? It seems like you just started crying like a baby without even reading what I said.

Of course AJ has fought heavyweights. He fought old shot Wlad, and old shot Povetkin, and the other eurolevel bums you mention. What is your point? That he looked good against them? He didn’t. That he wasn’t knocked down and wobbled by them? He was. That Miller is not garbage? He is. That he had no other options? Please, Wilder and Fury have tried everything to get AJ in the ring. But AJ and his glass jaw keep running from them and continue their bum tour.

I see your join date was less than three months ago. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself about boxing before you come on here and argue with the big boys, Junior. Read my posts and learn something. You can start your education by learning what a glass jaw is.

You mock AJ for a unproven crime, he is also signed up to 2 anti doping agencies and is tested 35 times a year.

Yet your favourite HW is Ortiz.

    Hypocrite much?

Thanks or clearing that up..no wonder the mental midget had a breakdown when I broke down how Joyce defeats Ortiz on another thread ..thnx ! I knew he used the words Juiceua which means hes a fan girl of someone but didn't think Ortiz ,he sounded like the usual Wilder cheerleader three steps behind in everything..... :pancarta:

No. Even Miller doesn’t think that. A year ago Miller mentioned working with Toney and that if he were to fight Joshua in the near future that he’d be able to put some of the defensive tricks Toney taught him to use. He also said that Toney helped him work on his head movement, which he’ll need a lot of, since Breazeale showed why it isn’t a good idea to let Joshua land a bunch of flush shots on you.

By walk through his power you mean walk his way to the brinks of the Pearly gates then yes.

Miller is getting destroyed in 5.

Does Big Fat Baby Miller have an Oliver McCall level of chin? Extremely unlikely

Given how easy he is to hit and how hard AJ hits, this is unlikely to last more than 4 rounds. AJs boxing skills are also extremely underated.

My pick is AJ via brutal KO in the 4th.

Biggest concern is AJs gas tank.

That elastic power that he has uses a lot of fuel up wheras Miller burns his energy differently.

you are clearly posting with an agenda

a glass jaw is where you dont even have to be hit clean and go down
you suffer many kos and simply cant hold any kind of punch
even light punchers can stop you

and shot is where you simply cant get off
you are a shadow of what you once were
you no longer have any power and you no longer have any punch resistance.

you use anthony joshua as an example of what you beleive a glass jawed fighter is
you use alexander povetkin as your example of what a shot fighter is

using your own definition of glass jawed and shot leaves not a single top 10 heavyweight who has fought other top 10 heavys as not either shot or glass jawed .

every heavyweight fighter using your criteria would need to be the perfect fighter.

Yep, Joshua's taken flush shots off of Wlad, Whyte and Povetkin, 3 of the hardest punchers around and he has a glass jaw lol. At the very worst Joshua has an average chin.
