I do enjoy a crude walk forward, George Foreman-esque brute force bludgeoning. Joyce knocked him around that ring like he's his daddy.
In fairness, that was because Zhang was dehydrated and apparently started going into kidney failure around round 4. Before that Zhang was in complete control and even had him down three times. I get where you're coming from and I do agree Joyce will win, but that specific bout is one where context is really important.
Joyce's chin will be tested. If Zhang can land big and Joyce is still not phased, then Joyce may literally have the greatest chin in existence.
Joyce is all buffed compared to the amateur scenes, The manner in which he has smashed Dubois and Joseph Parker speaks alot. These amateur records don't hold any value. Tony Yoka beat Hrgovic and Joyce in Amateur and was unable to beat gatekeeper Takam recently.
Yoka got robberies vs Hrgovic and Joyce as an amateur. And chin isn't like the rest of the amateur vs pro difference. Also, funny that you mention Takam, Joyce lost 6 straight rounds to him before the ref stopped the fight without Takam even being dropped.
Joyce has improved vastly since then Zhang is very easy to hit and Joyce will constantly pump that jab.
Absolutely. One of the rare occasions where I will be sad no matter who loses, but also happy for the other man. I can't wait for this one.
