Or at least in a highly competitive/title fight? He's 33 now, hasn't fought since May 2021. He hasn't got many years left, surely he needs to be abit more active.
There is not much interest in Billy Joe Saunders, so I think he will be used as an opponent in the future.
When Smith beats Eubank twice he may have a rematch with Saunders. Young 36 year old Chris will still get his PPV his name commands from that fight.
It's a shame, if you take away his out of ring antics and his inactivity, he was one hell of a boxer. He could have achieved so much more if he lived the life.
Ben Davison said he is back in training and will be looking get out after Christmas sometime. Pretty sure he will need the money soon so will be back. Bill vs junior 2 would be decent and I would like to see it.
I'd forgotten about him and to be honest I don't know why anyone is even thinking about him, he's not fought in over 18 months, the longest period of inactivity in his career and he had his face smashed up and he was stopped in his last fight, the first in his career where he was faced an elite fighter in their prime. Face smashed up after talking big, it's over.
It would be sad if he got another pay day out of boxing. The sport has to do better. You can't be making people like Saunders rich. To get him back in the ring it is going to cost a prompter 250k minimum. We all know that he doesn't get up for fights, so he will stink the gaffe out with a boring 12 round decision against a Romanian top 15 fighter, at a catch weight of 171 or some bollocks. With money so hard to come by at the moment the sport has to do better
He literally nicked a living as promoters were praying for the Canelo pay out. Now that’s done he’s worthless to them.
