Will Bivol be able to take Benavidez punches?

My money is on Bivol if they ever fight, probably in quite a pedestrian 12-round UD where Bivol just does the cleaner work over the distance. Do I think Bivol could take that left hook that stopped the Yarde fight? No, but he's so much better defensively than Yarde; I can't see him getting hit by anything that is so easily telegraphed. David literally threw it 3 times in a row before he landed right on the money, there's zero chance Bivol gets caught with something like that.

I would suggest you guys rewatch Bivol vs Richards, especially the last 4 rounds.

Yarde looks slick whilst catching everything you throw with his face

Bivol doesn't look slick whilst getting hit less than anyone in the sport

And Bivol was coming off injuries and a 19th month layoff vs Richards who he still dominated

Benavidez couldn't put Ronald Gavril away in 24 rounds of trying his hardest ad has struggled in numerous fights vs low levels or lower levels

We can all play that game

Depends on which version of Bivol shows up. He's coming off of major surgery and he's into his mid 30s now. Probably seen the best of Bivol. No way Bivol is in his prime anymore.

This is why I'd take Benavidez, Bivol is on the back side of the mountain now against a younger opponent
