How`s he going to get past Canelo`s defense, Canelo`s defensive prowess in his last three fights has been a level above anything BJS has faced, he is seriously hard to hit and a better counter puncher than anyone BJS has faced also.

I never claimed Kovalev was prime or peak or when fought Canelo, my argument was simply that he wasn't as shot or washed up as many Canelo detracters would have you believe. Yes Kovalev was exposed with Ward, lost his aura of invincibility in the rematch then moreso when he was stopped by Eleider Alvarez and turned to drinking. But his detractors were acting like he didn't bounce back and avenge that loss to Eleider Alvarez then stopped Yarde showing he still had something left. No one, certainly not me, tried to argue that Kovalev was still prime after all that, but at the same time he wasn't completely shot or washed up either.

It was more just countering the idea that he was shot and washed up which was a huge exaggeration. Further, for a fighter like Canelo coming up from the lower weights, to fight any Light Heavyweight for that matter a World Title Holder is a big accomplishment. As a comparison look at the fighters who Usyk fought when he moved up to Heavyweight. When Roy Jones moved up to Heavyweight he fought John Ruiz not the best possible Heavyweight Champ at that time.

I agree and more than anything I just want see a great fight. I want to see Canelo tested by Saunders. Canelo needs a rival his own age. If Saunders comes and give Canelo a tough competitive 12 rounds, whoever gets the decision won't matter that much because it'll create debate and intrigue and they'll be demand a rematch which would be great for boxing. If Canelo destroys Saunders he won't get much credit because then people will say Saunders was overrated or never anything great to begin with. If Saunders fights the fight of his life, and makes it a close decision, win or lose he'll have raised his own stock massively and will create a need for a rematch. As crazy of a character that Saunders is outside of the ring, inside the ring he has a chance to create a legacy for himself and give Canelo a true rival.

If Saunders is in peak shape he will give Canelo a stiff test. Unfortunately BJS tends to blow hot and cold.

If Canelo TOOK the fight, there's about a 99% chance he's gonna win, somehow, some way

You rate Canelo really high. With such high odds for Canelo to beat an undefeated World Title holder, you must consider Canelo one of the greatest fighters in boxing history.

Saunders couldn`t knock out several fighters and Canelo has never been knocked out, GGG punches far harder than Saunders, Billy sticks and moves a lot not allowing him to sit down on his punches, he can`t afford to go toe to toe with Canelo he`d get destroyed Canelo is a far better inside fighter than Saunders.

Canelo is amazingly skilled compared to any fighters Saunders has met before, Canelo is a 9/10 fighter potentialy a 10/10 fighter, he is a very special fighter.

Saunders is a tough kid, and this will go the distance. But I don't see him beating Alvarez
