Hopkins lost to Calzaghe so Bob Arum brought Hopkins to make Pavlik look good.
Mosley looked terrible vs Mayorga so Bob Arum brought Mosley to make Margarito look good
Clottey lost to Cotto so Bob Arum brough Clottey to make Pacquiao look good
Martinez lost to Williams so Bob Arum brought Martinez to make Pavlik look good

... and luckily for us, King Arthur Abraham just lost to Andre Dirrell, and I gotta say, in a very promising way, so will Bob Arum finally lift the Pavlik-Abraham embargo and make this fight happen when AA is done with S6 and Pavlik is done at 160, or it's back to "I know what the fans want and they can go f*ck themselves" and "yesterday I was dying, today I'm telling the truth"?

Will this fight finally happen at some point?

No need for the fight at the moment. AA brings nothing to the table for Kelly at the moment because of his loss and he may yet be suspended in the states. Kelly won't fight him in Germany for obvious reasons.

highly likely that AA makes the semis so we're looking to at least summer 2011 for him to be available. And if he's available then, it'd be because he has another L. If he makes the final in late 2011, then he's not available until spring 2012.

I don't see the point in Arum giving this fight 5 seconds thought right now.

Abraham is going to be tied up in the tournament for a long while.

Pavlik is not going to wait around for Abraham who is also going to get taught a lesson by Andre Ward.

    Pavlik needs Williams....Williams needs Pavlik

clottey vs. cotto and clottey vs. pac was just a super terrific idea in his money filled head.... each fight was also a step towards bigger fights besides him raking in that dough.

That is always up in the air. Kelly currently plans on putting himself in position to challenge the winner of the tourney. I don't think that will be AA. Too many variables, the future, always in motion it is.... :D

Will Bob Arum lift the Pavlik-Abraham embargo now?
    a) Now that Abraham lost, most likely yes
    b) No, Abraham is still too dangerous for Pavlik
    c) Abraham is going to stay on his side of the water.

AA would kill Kelly Pavlik!!!! Mark my words!!!!!!!

Don't think because an up and coming fighter like Dirrell made AA look average that Pavlik can beat AA!!!!!!!

1.Dirrell has the physical and athletic potential to be great!!!!!
2.Kelly Pavlik does not have near the defense or head movement of Dirrell!!
3.AA hurts Pavlik and Pavlik's career is over from a fan stand point(he will lose all of his fan base)

If for some reason Abraham dropped out of the tournament, and became available, the larger question would be; "Will Sauerland wake up and realize that Abraham is not worth the $2 million dollar guarantee he previously demanded?"

Saurland has all but given up on the US market for AA with his shameful behavior in the aftermath of the Dirrell fight. So, no. Saurland just rebuilt the Berlin Wall. To say it was Arum to fault for the fight never happening before is a **** assumption anyhow as has been pointed out over and over. Some people are just now seeing the true Saurland. As Boo has stated many times he carefully crafted AA's career. SAYING he wanted to fight Kelly was good for the German faithful just like saying Dirrell is a dirty cheat is current 'marketing du jour' for AA now.
