Those left hooks Wilder is digging to the body in training look pretty formidable. Fury is certainly anticipating them. Can't train to absorb those liver shots, though.
About there being something different about Fury, I sensed the same thing. He's been soaking up the accolades for his win over Wilder for some time and as others have mentioned his body looks dreadful, overweight and soft. Maybe he's that confident ,I don't know but I've seen the better fighter show up many times when they weren't ready and lost. History is full of them
Here. The first fight was different than the second fight. IMO, the third fight will be different than the first two.
The two bouts were different only because of Fury's physical condition, and he appears to be different physical condition from the second bout when he really need not have been. He certainly hasn't built upon his physical level since the second, and that should have been the goal for someone like him that says he is "always in the gym".
Well, that, and Wilder needed surgery to repair his left bicep after fight 2. Which you guys never want to seem to acknowledge, but probably would be seen as the MAIN difference if it is Fury who needs bicep surgery after losing fight 3. An injury that requires surgery to repair tends to be a factor in most fights where they occur. Which is why it would be sweet if Wilder stops Fury with a left hook to the body. (LOL) Nice to see he's digging hooks with it.
His body looks like bread and butter in that training clip. He'd better pull his trunks up to his nipples, because the left hooks to the body are incoming.
I follow Fury very closely and I can tell you right now he is coming in a little bit lighter and not as well trained, but that won't hurt him. His camp timing hasn't been as good as the 2nd Wilder bout. He failed to put on extra mass through good S&C & diet early on. He is also training in 40celcius + Vegas. Although he knows it's dangerous for him to drain down he won't be able to prevent it. I think it's a horrible mis-step for him to be in this heat. Anything above 268 on the scales this time would surprise me, he hasn't added that muscle which was very clear much earlier in his last camp. He's got top notch sparring again though, something which I doubt Wilder has. Fury wins this fight on footwork 7 days a week, we don't need to worry about the conditioning of either man.
Maybe Wilder will try it, but since he doenst think he did anything wrong in the second fight at all and Malik says hes already comparable to Ali, I'm not sure I believe Deontay can. He's still in cloud cuckoo land, with Malik rubbing his ego for his own paycheck. In order for Wilder to have a plan, he needs to know what mistakes he's made previous. And his recent videos show nothing, no one is punching back at him. Fury will come at Wilder, Wilder will shell up again crossing his feet and getting unbalanced and it will be all she wrote. It going to be interesting fight, but I'm more fired up for it by Wilders own fans, than anything Wilder has done or is doing. I still see it as an easier fight for Fury than the second, even if he is 300lbs, but if anyones going down from a bodyshot, its Wilder again.
Wilder tripped over his own feet. The body punch didn't cause him such intense pain he had to go down. His feet crossed over each other. It's clear on the video posted by Top Rank. And Wilder popped right up. You don't pop right up when a body shot forces you to floor in pain. What was he down for, a two count? (LOL) This content is protected If Wilder drops Fury from a body shot, it will be because Fury is in pain.
Ive never seen that knockdown from that angle, but jesus, you are so obsessed to the point you are becoming deluded. Not all body shots have you doubled over in pain, you can get put down by one and get straight back up. In this case it was clearly the latter, so come on now jack it in with the excuses, his legs got tangled up, maybe his legs were doing funny things in the moments before the shot put him over due to him getting battered seconds earlier!!
We're talking about the big heavyweight title fight coming up in a couple weeks. Should we spend all our time talking about fights 70 years ago? I'm simultaneously talking about a fight 45 years ago on Classic. Direct your snark to the people obsessing and creating multiple threads over a bench press video. (LOL) They are the ones who are deluded.
