Will boxing save Calzaghe's life but take his unbeaten record, will he come back now?

Calzaghe's demons cannot be overcome in the ring. They could, granted, be subdued for a very short while, but at what expense to his long terms health, happiness and, not to mention, legacy, if he came back for 2-3 more fights?

Calzaghe should not try to run away from his demons by attempting a comeback.

Instead, he should deal with his personal problems head-on with the same courage with which he faced his opponents in the ring.

I dont think he should of ever retired , im not a fan of fighters quitting the game while right on top if there game , if your right on top your game you have more to accomplish man , look at Hatton , you can argue that he had more to give he was only 31 , only beaten by the 2 best P4P fighters in the world etc etc , but we know he was on the downward spiral , what we know about Calzaghe is , he kept getting better , his ability was getting better with time and with the better opponent he faced he should never of retired .......................

I want him to come back , have a tune up then fight Dawson , then maybe look to fight Bute and call it a day , if he's still around when the obvious tournament finishes then thats a no brainer but @175 clearly , imo Dawson and Bute have no business sharing a ring with him but they are the top men , maybe im being hard on Dawson he is a good fighter but again i think Joe washes him out , his output i too low and he is very slow and methodical , i think Calzaghe would have it all his own way with Dawson , depending on how Jones Hopkins goes Hopkins 2 could me made , thats a fight we all wanna see .

Who knows i want him back though .

yes I agree however the way that Joe avoided challenges and ducked and dodged his whole career probably means his precious 0 means more to him than anthing else, when it aint all that

Coming back and beating one of the top fighters after a year or so off would be a real big incentive. The money would have to be huge.

He's retirement is too early, he's good boxer but for most boxing fans fighting style does matter and his fighting style does not make him popular... and to be more popular in all sudden by beating two former great that were 40 years old

my point is, if he want to win admiration from boxing fans worldwide as an ATG, he should have 3-4 more fights after his victory against jones and hopkins

hell, even rematch against hopkins should be more interesting than hopkins jones rematch

He needs to protect his "0", so I cant see him coming back, although it would be interseting though.Calzaghe vs Froch would be a great fight
