Eddie Hearn said (Froch's Promoter) we are contractually obliged to give Bute a rematch after the victory.

He's ****ing crazy if he does. That was pretty much a possible career-ruining beating he took. Don't think it would be prudent to go down that road again.

Froch wouldn't wait 5 rounds to administer the Coup De Grace next time,i'd pick Froch to steamroller him in 2 rounds in a rematch.Bute and his team will make excuse's about weight, and he'll move to 175 to avoid another beating.

Without risking taking ANYTHING away from Froch's impressive KO win tonight, I gotta say that Bute was completely and totally frozen in that ring tonight.

Could it have been that he didn't have faith in his own abilities? IDK.

Could it have been that he was buying into reports that he was a protected fighter?

One thing is for sure.......he has NEVER fought so tentatively in his entire career. He never just let an opponent bully him. Froch is a tough customer for sure, but I wouldnt think anyone believes he's the stornger guy. He admitted that Butes early L hands shook him. I gotta wonder if Bute knew that.

I will say one thing completely negative about Lucian Bute before I remind us all of another thing.

Bute waited faaaarrrr too long to fight a top SMW outside Canada. And in Knottigham....even more salt in the wound. We very well may have seen an entirely different fight in MSG or Windsor.

Now, let's all remember the best HW of this generation....Wladimir Klitshcko. He had the exact "deer in the headlights" look that lucian had tonight vs Froch.

    10 yrs later......he's an ATG.:nono

Give Froch his dues instead of backtracking and making excuse's.:fire

I hope Bute doesn't get discouraged by this defeat, that can happen, he can and will come back stronger and better

I stand corrected. Carl Froch, not that you will read this, but congratuations! I was wrong. I didn't think Bute would walk over Froch, but I was pretty damn sure he would be victorious. Again, I was wrong and have no problem admitting that. It wasn't the first time and probably won't be the last. To answer the question at hand, I don't know. But, if Bute takes the rematch, he takes another *sswhooping!

Wlad didn't hide in Germany/Ukraine until he was 32. You can't compare the 2. Bute will NEVER be a ATG or even close.

And no way does Bute exercise his right to an immediate rematch. He'll go back to fighting rejects from Joe Louis' Bum of the Month club....
