Will Bute take the rematch clause

Eddie Hearn said that they won't be able to fight for the title immediately as he was knocked out, so it would either be a non-title rematch, or they both fight someone else and then have the rematch assuming neither loses.

 

That's interesting. Sounds like a good idea. Let Bute get back on the horse so to speak, and let Froch get some another home fight.

I think Bute should take the rematch, I don't think he can do worse than last night's performance even if he tried. Doesn't matter if he still gets starched as long as he puts up a better fight it'll be better for his career.

Did you matha****as even watch the fight? There ain't nothing he could have done in there. He was a fish out of water. He really looked like a well-seasoned amateur who had never taken clean punches without the headgear before. HE seemed in utter shock from every punch that landed.

Strategy?

That loss wasn't anything about strategy. That was about not being on the same level as your opponent. When you enter the ring looking like a rabbit in the headlights and your opponent can walk through your shots and batter you around the ring like that it doesn't matter what strategy you use - you're getting your arse beat time and time again.

What would change about his strategy?

"Hey Lucian, here's the strategy for the rematch; try not to let Froch's punches hurt you so much and try to hit him about three times harder than you did last time"

Underestimate?

So THAT was why he lost, because he underestimated Froch? In that case Bute's mentality is about as impressive as his punch resistance. He had fought absolutely no one of note and was about to face a guy who had fought every other top guy in the division, only being decisively beaten once and knocked down one time. If he thought he could take it easy against Froch then he is an absolute moron.


Thankfully, I'm sure that Bute realises he is no match for Froch and I'm sure he did not underestimate Froch at all. These are just excuses being offered up by delusional fans like yourself.

 

I don't give Bute much of a chance against Froch but if there's one thing Bute can sit on, it's the fact that he's done well in a rematch. After nearly getting KO'd, I never thought he would KO the then iron chinned Andrade. Obviously Froch is a different animal but hey, strange things do happen.

 

I don't know where they'll go.

Can Bute really do better?

 

What would be the point of a rematch? That beating was so comprehensive, that no-one including Bute and Larouche would want to see it again.

I don't know what his mind set is like, but either way it would be hard to get back in the ring with Froch after that beating.

I must give respect to him for fighting away from home and taking the loss like a man.
