After his stunning KO loss last night, will Byrd move down to middleweight to avoid those big punchers like George at lightheavyweight? There has got to be another 5lbs of muscle and 10lbs of bone mass he could lose to get to the middleweight limit. If he could take shots from guys like the Klit bros and Ike at heavyweight, just think of what he could do at middleweight. I like to see him do it...he could be another Ali.

I hope he just retires. Reflexes are totally gone. Maybe he should consider being a trainer or commentator

This title is hilarious but I'm one of the few people who actually liked Chris Byrd. I wish a match between he and Lennox would have occurred during their primes.

What he lacked in power he definitey brought in defensive skill and an ability to frustrate opponents..

Once his reflexes left him, so unfortunately his one tactical advantage.

Good career, time to hang it up

His defensive reflexes couldn't cope with the faster hands of the smaller weights. The Hws are slow but powerful so enough time for him to prepare for the punch or to block/parry however the lowers are just too quick for the old man.

His body was unatural...His legs were small as hell they looked like Roger Mayweathers legs. His arms are huge but he could not capitalize on a solid jab or even a power shot for that matter.

Yeah. Maybe you are right. He just needs the right trainer. With someone like old man Mayweather to show him the way of the pipe, I think he could do it.

Byrd looked slower, sluggish and not sharp. Could be weight but towards the end of his heavyweight career he looked a bit shot.

At this point, I'd favor Pacquao to take him out. This bird's wings are broken. Time to return to the nest.

Byrd would be even weaker at middleweight. Guys would be starching him left and right - no need for that. Right now, he ought to retire.

I guess whenever a fighter has ran his course in a certain division, the obvious course of action is to drop on down, and try again. LOL

Next stop, the Middleweights......and if that don't work out, who knows? LOL
