Break the record for most title defenses? It would be a great accomplishment to hold this record, definately one of the most respected in combat sports. The record is now held by Tim Sylvia, which means is the greatest UFC HW champ ever. I hope he does it.
I'd like to see how his Chin pans out. He's got all of the tools, competent striking, awesome wrestling, and a sick floor game that's a great mix of positioning and pounding BUT, I just don't know about his Chin. The shots he took from Kongo looked hard but every time one connected he was wobbled hard. I'll be able to answer this one better after we see how he handles JDS and how he chooses to fight him.
I think Frank Mir's motorcycle accident and Arlovski's chin have more to do with Tim Sylvia being a Heavyweight Champ for that long fella The only other guys who's held a belt at HW that Tim has beaten is Ricco Rodriguez, who coincidently was in the middle of the mother of all coke binges
Most definitely. History will either forget or ridicule Sylvia because he was the definition of a **** champ. He makes Valuev look legit.
We'll see just how good he is in his next title defence Neither guy is going to hold on to that belt for very long once Overeem enters the picture :deal
A lot of it won't even be borderline, it'll be way over the top homo on MMA forums across the internet. :hat
IMHO the 2 best HW's in the world are going at it in Cain's next fight , if he walks through dos Santos in dominant fashion which is basically the only way Velasquez knows how ........................ then we will know we have a bit of a special fighter on our hands and yes he will demolish the record for most HW title defenses In summary , i see Velasquez and dos Santos as the 2 outstanding fighters in that division , i dont really see anybody beating Cain aside from dos Santos and likewise with JDS i dont really see any of the pack beating him either , its gonna be a great great fight , and i cant wait for it !!!
Maybe you clowns should let him defend it once before asking.if.he will be an all-time great or if he will break a championship win streak.
