Will Caleb Plant be a harder or easier opponent for Canelo than Saunders?

I think Plant will start doing good and people will be cheering for him then suddenly Canelo will land a hard shot and the tide will change.

I think Plant is too upright but he is a natural super middleweight and has little mileage on the clock. He hasn't been in a hard fight and we don't know if he can really overcome adversity at the elite level.

I think his upright stance after he punches will let Canelo land hard shots to the body and head. I think he's a bit slow getting out of the kitchen like Teddy Atlas would say. He stays near the cooker too long.

I think Plant starts off well then he'll get figured out and his stance will make it easier for Canelo to land shots on him.

Plant has to fight a perfect fight and score at least a knockdown. He has to smother Canelo and take the snap off his punches and i'm not sure he can do that.

I think realistically Plant cannot win enough rounds clearly to win the fight. I think the rounds he might win will be relatively close after initially winning 2 or 3 rounds.

I actually hope Plant pulls off the upset because it would be good for boxing but i don't think he's ready or has the tools to win.

But in general, the default assumption would naturally be "probably not", after all if the majority of fighters could step up and just handle it, there would be a lot of elite fighters around.... Statistically, the odds are against it.

And then the question becomes on what basis would we expect him to be able to handle that level?
As far as I can tell, we have very little reason for optimism there just yet, his best win is levels off what he's up against this time and the bigger the step up, the more expectional a fighter needs to seem in order to make it?
