Will Calzaghe come out of retirement to fight Carl Froch?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Apocolypse313, Jun 14, 2015.

  1. Joe and Carl have been at odds for a long time and it seems that there is only one way to settle it,and they need to throw them hands.
I don't think Joe can take Carl in the ring or in the streets but my dream card for these 2 is:

    Main event
    Froch vs Calzaghe

    Undercard
    Rios vs Ortiz
    Beterbeiv vs Kovalev
    Broner vs Mayfield
    Khan vs Brook

In the streets or in the ring.

calzaghe fights rarely make major bills, so that undercard is unlikely - more likely joe calzaghe would be gracing their undercards.

but with froch, it would be a major bill of course. trouble is, joe runs in fear from froch so its not happening.

How long's he been out? Froch and Hearn are worried after a year out, Ward is taking on a no hoper because he's not been in for so long, to come back and face Froch after that long a hiatus would be insane, maybe if he had two fights before that and a year of hard activity...

Of course not. His plan is to have everyone ELSE be old and out of prime status. An older version of him fighting is not part of his plan.

While it would be awesome if it happened if you look back through Boxing history there are only 2 guys who came back and had success and and did it in the first fight back with no tuneups (Vitali Klitschko & SRL)

    Jeffries failed

    Louis failed

    Holmes failed

    etc.

It usually doesn't bode well for an aging former champion to try and come back after a long layoff.

Lol, Joe already ducked Carl when he was active. He'd get killed if he tried to take on someone as strong as Carl after all the years of inactivity and blow.

Calzaghe is terrified of Froch. Always has been

You'd need May-Pac kind of money to pay everyone on that card. Joe & Carl alone represent a big chunk.

WHAT!! Calzaghe is scared of no man. point blank. PERIOD.

The greatest thing that happened to Froch and Ward is Calzaghe retiring.:deal
