Will canelo alvarez be the "future of boxing" that odlh sets him up to be?

    regardless of tomorrows result, i think canelos best chances of greatness are limited to his next few years....hes not going to be a jmw forever and his "dimensions" are not ideal for a middleweight...so what happens to the touted next big mexican star as his career progresses?

    It's a good question. But he has real talent, is still young and keeps on getting better. I could see him being competitive at middleweight. It's important to remember also that Canelo was not created by Golden Boy. He only signed with them in 2010. He had already had 31 professional fights - some say there were 10 others - and was already the rising star in Mexican boxing.

    i agree.he's going to be a star who shines bright for short term.when he goes to 160,that's it.
