Now the idea of canelo stopping kovalev is one hell of an image a former 154 pounder that couldnt stop other opponents in lighter weight classes all of a sudden stopping former light heavyweight king Kovalev who ruled the division with an iron fist . In my opinion i dont even think canelo can do it. Trying to stop Kovalev requires you to have LHW power. Canelo isnt even use to 175 now to my question. Will canelo be given credit for stopping Kovalev ?? if it happens. I mean he is fighting Kovalev with no catchweight and no rehydration clause reported so far yes or no ?? and why will you give him credit or not if it were to happen ?? note :be sure when you give your reason that you keep the same energy for your favorite boxer.
Yes. Ive been watching Kovalevs last few fights today, he’s slipped but still elite. If Canelo wins he deserves all the praise he gets, a stoppage would be special.
Canelo would deserve huge credit for beating arguably the #1 LHW, certainly the most proven with the best resume. Kovalev is coming off 2 of the best wins of his career. But I think Canelo’s bitten off more than he can chew here.
Camelot will never get the respect he truly deserves, not yet anyway. Stopping Kovalev will be a step closer to it.
No. People keep forgetting that Kovalev had only 3 weeks of rest after the grueling Yarde fight in which he was seriously hurt and on the verge of being stopped. Kovalev might come into the ring completely burnt out.
Cleverly was a better win than Yarde, he only won the 8th in the whole fight. edit. As was Chilemba and Campillo
If he struggled to stop top tier 160lbs fighters but then stops a top tier 175lbs former elite p4p fighter I would question the integrity of the drugs testing in this fight.....
Depends on how. People have been consistent. If a fighter wins by robbery he isn't going to get as much respect as he would if he wins legitimately. I don't understand what is so hard about this.
