He's got the technique so yes. He's not a monster puncher at the lower weights so dont expect monster power. But he'll be a similar puncher.

Let's see, he has 2 knockouts above 154, the notoriously fragile Amir Khan (a freakin WW) and perhaps the most fragile/limited SMW titlist I've ever seen in Rocky Fielding.

So my question is what power are we referring to?

The presumption that Canelo is going to beat Kovalev to the body or stop him is laughable. The presumption that Canelo can stop any of the top 5 MWs, top 10 SMWs, or anyone in the top 15 of the LHW division is laugable.

Clenelo needs to hit the goddamn pharmacy hard as F for this fight.

He's not a serious puncher at 160lbs, let alone 175.

I don't see how he hurts Kov or even commands his respect. This fight is interesting.

He has zero power at 160 so I don’t think it’s going to get better for him at 175. Clenelo hit GGG with everything he had in the first two fights. He actually landed some big shots and GGG didn’t blink. GGG has a better chin than Kov but Kov is used to getting hit big bigger guys so it’s a wash.

A couple things to consider; Kov doesn’t like getting hit to the body and and Ginger is a good body puncher, Canelo has a solid jaw and is a good defensive fighter, Canelo ALWAYS has an advantage on the cards and this fight is no exception. Kov is going to have to knock him out to win and I think Canelo is smart enough to avert a KO. As stated before, if Clenboy finishes on his feet, he gets his arm raised. No matter how badly he is beaten the usual ball gobblers will celebrate the decision as they did in the first GGG fight. Pathetic but lovable bunch of losers.

Unless there's concrete injections for a boxers fists, there is nothing in a pharmacy that will make Canelo hit as hard as cruiserweight Yarde.

Most important things he needs to remember to bring with him are his Clenbuterol, his judges and his adoring teenybopper Belieber-like DKSAB casual fanbase.

Definitely not what Golovkin thought fighting timid, and refusing to fight "Mexican style" in the rematch.

    Last 5 fights TKOs Fielding.

Power to pay off judges carries across any weight class and inevitably that's what we will see.

I believe it was the crisp, quick counters & combinations that made GGG respect Canelo.
