This is might be the most intriguing match up in the last 15 years. The fight has so much potential. Can Canelo take the pressure and power? Or does Golovkin even have the engine anymore?

I give the advantage to Golovkin. Golovkin has better footwork, boxing IQ, better jab and reach advantage. I don´t see hand speed playing a factor because it can be neutralized so many ways and Golovkin knows them well.

My guess is that Golovkin will study Canelo for first 1-2 rounds before bringing pain and lateral movement. He will position himself so that Canelo can´t use his combination punching and steadily breaks him down. I don´t think Canelo´s body attack is concern of his and he just parries Canelos body shots or just brakes his rhythm by jab.
If Golovkin has hard time to parry he will just use his footwork more aggressively and boxes outside.

I think both will come out cautious, getting the distance, range and timing in the first early minute. Canelo will try to land the first meaningful punch, maybe a fast 1-2 combination to get GGG's respect. But it won't, and GGG will begin the pressure maybe the last minute of the 1st round.

If Canelo is smart he comes forward rounds 1-3 then switches to boxing more once he's gets a feel the power. I say he should come forward at the start because it will shock people if he does and possibly make the judges give him early rounds. He needs early rounds then he needs to take 4-8 boxing, 9-11 he needs to coast and try to steal rounds. 12 should be him running if ahead or throwing everything to end it

Canelo is looking bulky and might sacrifice a bit of speed. I'm starting to think Canelo is serious about trying to KO GGG.

I don't think Alvarez will rush Golovkin at all, but he will eat some jabs. He says he will use body shots, but Golovkin uses body shots also, only harder and he has the reach. Body shots make you take a chance of getting hit to the head......................Alvarez will counter-punch, but so will Golovkin...................

I think canelo will land a flash combo in 1-3 round and then realise he's nicking these rounds and that will become his game plan all fight, I really believe he will try and just eek out a decision.

Yes, Alvarez plans on running the entire fight, he gained weight to help resist punches, Alvarez knows he does not have to fight at all, all he has to do is be standing! He knows that Byrd and Moretti are on his side and Bayless will not allow them to fight much.................
