will Canelo's stock drop if he continues to fight guys like Smith?

    Why would fans be interested in future Canelo fights if Canelo continues to pick overmatched opponents? I would be more interested in future Canelo fights if he at least picked guys that could trouble like 60/40 fights or 50/50 fights. Then I would have an incentive to watch but fights like Canelo/Khan or Canelo/Smith where the odds are like 90/10 in Canelo's favor, what's the point in watching?

    If Canelito will continue to fight "no-name" or unknown fighters to his fan base definitely it would not help to raise his stock.
    Chavez will be a great great fight for him, in terms of stock growth, but not Smith or that Islam guy.
    Same goes for GGG, but his fanbase is used to him not fighting names, so it has a much lesser effect.

    There 40 plus million Mexicans living off the USA now. Canelo is Mexican so they will support him no matter what he does and who he fights

    You must be a casual, I live about as far from Liverpool as you can get on earth and I had heard of him.

    Ffs he is one of the Smith brothers that are all professional boxers so he was riding off his brothers success I suppose.

    I've been following Paul since his days on the contender a decade ago, any real boxing fan has heard of the Smith family!!!!
