Will Carl Froch be the No.1 SMW in the world?

    If Ward does not fight again before 08/09.

    He may or may not get ranked there due to Ward's inactivity. But he won't be the best SMW in the world until he either beats Ward, Ward gets beaten or Ward moves up.

    Thinking more in the sense of being the lineal champion. Would it be up for grabs?

    You can be the best in the world but if you're not fighting it doesn't count for much.

    He needs to beat Ward to be the true undisputed super middleweight champ.

    Froch is number 2 because Ward defeated him and with ease.

    Froch will always be number 2 in comparison to Ward. A great number two but nowhere near Ward.

    He's one of the toughest sobs today. Doing everything to get better. Wouldn't surprise if one day he did become the best.

    If Froch steps up to LHW, he could be the new Michalczewski. Two Poles who fight/fought for different countries.
    But in SMW? No way .. Ward and GGG will school him everytime. GGG will knock him even out.
