Saw my friend Carl post recently on facebook and he is in phenominal shape. He seems interested in a GGG showdown. Do you think he will come back and take on baaxings current superstar in a massive showdown at Wembley?

Maybe who knows. But financially he doesn't need the money which is a common reason for boxers coming back. Hard to say what it would take to entice him back, it would require more than just money, it would have to tick certain boxes. A fight in Vegas on PPV against a big name was something he wanted and Golovkin has yet to fight in Vegas, so maybe that would be enough if Golovkin can prove himself as a bigger PPV attraction.

If I were him, I wouldn't even think about it. He had a superb finale for his career and he made a fortune as well. There's a very good chance GGG knocks him out badly and he will be remembered with his image on the canvas for the rest of his life. He shouldn't do that to himself.

    Who would you pick CST?

No catchweights - Carl is a big enough name that the fight would be at 168

That would have been a slugfest, the only one I would give a Chance against GGG in a war!

Thats a good point. Carls always wanted that Vegas showdown, and GGG Froch would tick that box

I see where yore coming from but i dont think it would. GGG seems a bona fide ATG. Having the cojohnes to come back from retirement to fight a guy like Golovkin would only add to Carls legacy

I dont think he will and i dont think he should. He ended his career knocking out a bitter rival in front of a huge crowd. Earned loads of money in this fight. I think if he came back there is a good chance that GGG would stop him.

No. He's old and has achieved about as much as he could; one could even argue he overachieved a little. I think he's totally content with how his career panned out overall. I doubt he'll go broke anytime soon considering that his fights were hugely successful.

Really good boxer who has fully deserved his retirement.

    I also think GGG wins.

For Froch to beat him he will have to walk through fire, and I'm not sure that he has enough motivation to see it through to the gritty end. If he doesn't have the eye of the tiger, he might get messed up.

The guys who've had the most success against Golovkin are the guys who've came forward and took it to him. Gennady loves that - he wants a war. But they all fall cause of Gennadys granite chin and monster power

    I feel that too

But at the same time, at 168 GGGs power wont be as devastating. And he would be going up against a guy with at least an equally granite chin

Carl knows Gennady is a far better boxer so it wouldnt be a chess match. He'd likely start cautiously, but after getting outboxed and smashed a few times with that ramrod jab he would soon come forward and just turn it into a vicious and hellacious war

Carl has the chin, the power, and the size to make this extremely interesting, and in all likelihood gift us a brutal war for the ages

this would be great but Golovkin should KO he Canelo/Cotto winner first

Froch vs Golovkin could happen in the 2 half of next year
