I'm a big Froch fan but getting into the HOF was never an issue for me and I doubt it will be.
Surely we can appreciate boxers without them being HOF material.

I am a Froch fan but no way. He would have to beat Ward or Kessler in rematches and then win title against good champs at LHW & CW to be considered.

He did not even dominate his own divison so how can he be HOF?

There will be worse fighters getting into the HOF cause of politics but that does not make it right to put Froch in there based on what he has done so far.

I am a huge Carl Froch fan, but he doesn't quite deserve it at the moment despite his brilliant opposition. If he beats Bute in decisive fashion at the weekend then you could definitely say there have been less deserving inductees.

You could also make an excellent case for Froch having a better overall resume than Ricky Hatton, and i imagine many would put Hatton in the HOF.

Considering his career so far, no.

If Froch beats about five opponents in a row who are at the level of opponent he faces he will get in the hall of fame, but another couple of losses or a step down in opponent quality will end his chances.

At this point of course not. If he beats Bute-and I think he loses by knockout- and then gets Ward in a rematch-which I think is almost impossible, then yes?

If you start throwing people like Froch in there then the HOF will lose it's credability..

Not bieng in the HOF takes nothing away from you.
And if your forgotten and you feel it was because you weren't in the HOF then maybe its proof you weren't meant to be in it?

Before we talk about HOF, take a look at Frochs resume: who has he beaten that has done anything at SMW? Taylor nope, Pascal nope, Dirrel nope, Abraham nope, Johnson nope...

This is not hating on froch, I think he is cool character, but HOF material should at least have some decivsive wins on their records.

Hall of Fames are completely pointless and a waste of time

+Froch has not beaten reigning champ on his entire career and never being the #1 on his weight class either.

I think this thread deserves a bump. :D
Unbelievable stuff by Froch. Not sure if he's elligible yet but I do think he's close to it. I'd like to see him have a rematch with Ward and Kessler, and if not Dawson and Cloud.
Froch is the kind of fighter that everyone should appreciate. Tough as nails, strong will, fights anyone and anywhere, and is exciting.

It's close. If he can avenge the Kessler defeat emphatically then he honestly really should.
