he will never be a world champion but he can win the britsh title back and maby even win a european title
Hopefully. I loved watching him fight and he has definitly got a good domestic career ahead of him if he comes back.
Been in some wars, wondering maybe he hasn't got the desire anymore? I'm just guessing like, maybe someone who knows him will pop up.
He beat Burns, quite convincenly, back in 2007. I think he put him down 3 or 4 times if I remember correctly.
I know someone that used to work with Carl. He said he didn't train properly for certain fights as he had problems in personal life and he's a bit of a quiet guy...he doesn't talk alot and is very closed off. I hope comes back he's a great warrior and enjoyed watching him fight and could of had a better career if managed and trained well. I think he lost love for the sport after being ripped off.
I think it was after a British title or European fight...i was told him and Manager parted company and it didn't end on good terms and i was told it was over money and he felt ripped off by him. Ripped off for thousands.
Wasn't Maloney his manager? I remember Rick Manners was his former trainer - think they split after the 2nd Kira whatsit fight..... Maloney took over from then on. Manners put a piece in boxing monthly - like an ad - congratulating Mitchell... at the time I found it odd. He is too busy out drinking in Leeds these days. Dude can really fire it down.
Manners was the name mentioned in the conversation as the guy that was at odds with Carl. Him and Manners ended on bad terms so i aint shocked by that Mitchell ad. Yeah i heard he canes it when he goes out...shame the guy i know said a nice lad but he did say he's awfully quiet...i think he's had a bit of sad life from what i was told.
He is really quiet.... you can barely hear what he is trying to say to you. I have seen him out and about him Leeds a few times and have gone over.
Shame that is...bit punchy aswell from what i seen. What a good fighter he was lets hope he can take care of himself and not get in any bother.
