I am very much looking forward not so much to this fight, but to his next fight against Diaconu, if Diaconu remains unbeaten. I think Dawson will prove his doubters wrong about his chin/mental strength. And after that, the sky's the limit for Chad...he is a great talent; if he has a good enough attitude and doesn't go all nuts/bad Audley Harrison style, he will go very far, IMO. Only thing I worry about is his attitude and mentality...still not convinced about those...this is ultimately the limiting factor for all great fighters...
If he does, it's probably because he was very much the wrong type for Dawson, and that Dawson had some serious limiting flaws that aren't fully apparent yet....:think
hahaha Johnson was probably shitting in his pants after he saw how Dawson completely outclassed Adamek. Don't worry guy's a Johnson upset won't happen, unless Dawson's chin is really that bad. I think it took 100+ punches to knockout Hugo Penda. Johnson doesn't have one-punch knockout power, and he won't land 100+ punches on Dawson because Dawson is simply too good. Dawson is a complete fighter in every sense of the word, who's great offensively while being defensively aware. He also great head movement, blocks punches very well, very slick, is a good counter-puncher, and has enough power for the opponent to respect his punches. Yeah Johnson will keep coming, but what happens when Dawson counters with a straight left or right hook? Johnson will get SERIOUSLY HURT, a right hook to the temple will have Johnson reeling, just like what happened to Adamek. Johnson is a tough opponent though, it won't be an easy match for Dawson, but if Dawson brings his A game and his 100%, I just don't see how Johnson can win.
i give johnson a 25% chance. this is based on his style and the fact that the very few times dawson gets hit clean he goes down whetehr be punchers or not . for the sake of boxing i hope dawson comes through it as i like watching him and johnson is long in the tooth .
You always tend to overrate the underdog a bit, sean, so if you say 25%, it's propably more like 12.5%...which isn't great! Diaconu has a better chance than that against Dawson...:think
no i think in this case it is more 3 to 1 on for dawson than 8 to 1 on. i base this on a few things. 1/dawson`s opposition has been very poor and limited. basically he has faced a good stand up european style in adamek and an old veteran trialhorse harding . 2/dawson has not been exposed to many styles yet, johnson`s will be new to him in the pro game. while he has the foot movement /handspeed and length to make it a routine fight, we do not know if he will fold under pressure and i know his chin is not great as hardings jab actually collapsed dawsons leg from under him, somnething that should not have happened .
Someone needs to take his offer, as for me I don't bet on Vcash on this site. I bet on bscene though.
I can't see Johnson wearing down Dawson. Not anymore. He lost the last fight against Woods because he slowed in the last 3 rounds.
Dawson will be mangled and disfigured by Adrian Diaconu IF he makes it past Johnson who many people are doubting.. It's more than laughable how overhyped Dawson is on here...he's beaten Adamek....a good fighter yes.....either way the winner of Dawson-Johnson will have to face Diaconu as mandated by the WBC....Diaconu is fighting Henry for the interim belt in Romania in a few weeks...... So Dawson will not just fall he will crash to the canvas a bloody mess...again if he makes it past Johnson which I doubt
