Katsidis was what we thought he was to quote Denny Green. A one dimensional go foward blood n guts all heart fighter with little to no defense. Most people had Casamayor winning that fight (and he had the Teddy Atlas curse on his side)

Diaz losing was a shocker but all props to Nate Campbell for fighting the fight of his life.

Dawson is very much a different case. He's got good defense, he's got a ridiculous array of weapons and has a good enough understanding on how to fight going fowards and backwards. Can a road warrior like Johnson catch him? It's possible..but I doubt he has the power to really do anything to Dawson.

I expect Dawson to box his way through a very very game Johnson.

i thought it was Diaconu that pulled out of the fight? i wasnt aware that it was chad. damn Chad must be a real punk and not good at all to pull out of a fight with the champ. he must have balls the size of peanuts. what a punk.

oh wait it was Diaconu that pulled out? oh excuse me. so he pulls out a fight and now he is feared ? okay. makes sense.

so chad will just wait for this guy to quit crying about his boo boos and fight. lets be real. Johnson stopped in the Eight Diaconu stopped earlier.

 

Dawson tried to *not fight* Diaconu, chasing a fight against shot Tarver instead. However, Tarver couldn't be bothered so he was forced to fight Diaconu. Diaconu got injured and pulled out of the fight. Dawson fought Mendoza instead. Diaconu wanted his shot at the Champ. Dawson tried to *not fight* Diaconu by trying to have his status as a mandatory challenger revoked for ever - he wanted the Mendoza fight to count as his mandatory defence (!!!). The WBC wanted none of it. They reconfirmed Diaconu as his mandatory challenger and asked Dawson to fight Diaconu by a certain date. However, instead, Dawson decided to fight Johnson. The WBC changed its mind and gave him a deadline by which to fight Johnson and Diaconu. Dawson overlooked the WBC's ruling and tried to get Diaconu's status revoked again! He even went out to camp in front of the WBC President's home for two days to get a chance to plead his case and to be allowed to fight Johnson, after the deadline. The WBC President took pity of his sorry ass again and let him fight Johnson in April, long past the deadline and allowed Diaconu to fight Henry for the Interim Title instead. Dawson was forced to sign a contract saying that he wouldn't try to *not fight* Diaconu after his fight against Johnson, if Diaconu got past Henry. If Dawson decides to *not fight* Diaconu, if Diaconu becomes Interim Champ, the WBC will finally strip Bad Chad of his title and declare Diaconu WBC Champion!
