Will Chad Dawson get credit for beating Glenn Johnson?

He should obviously get a lot of credit for beating Johnson. Will he? Yeah, but the amount depends on how the fight goes and what Johnson does after this fight. Right now Johnson is a top 5 light heavy. Old? Yeah, but dangerous. Good fight and a good win if Dawson beats him, and he should.

If he get's an average amount of credit it will be a deserved amount. Johnson's a good fighter, but a W over him on someone's record amounts to a lot more than it should and all because he beat a faded, mentally unfocused Jones.

Average amount of credit, a decent win but in the end Johnson will be passed off as simply "too old".

Same as Hopkins for Calzaghe, imo.

Adamek will still be Dawson's biggest win, by a distance.

No because I don't think he beats Johnson...some people would call it an upset and some would see it as the most likely scenario and thats me....****ing guy put Roy Jones to sleep and now we should write him off? not sure how that works but Johnson despite his age has plently of momentum, power, skill, and intelligence....much more than Dawson....if you believe otherwise you must be seriously deranged

Yeah, after a long ass accumalation of punishment. Are people forgetting that this is the same Glen Johnson that lost to Derrick Harmon?

If Dawson thoroughly schools him and knocks him out he will get credit. It needs to be an impressive victory.

It will be an impressive shut-out, I think, but I don't think he'll knock him out.

This fight does very little for me and for Dawson, imho. It's a catch 22 situation for Dawson. Had it been a few years ago, then okay, but now? Not in my book. But it's a name on his sheet, for those who care about such things.

A win over Johnson will mean nothing. Johnson sure put the hurts on Roid Jones though.
