No his not as gifted as Calzaghe his not as quick his dosent have the heart joe had , there is no way he will go 10 years undeafeated champion and there isent the level of fighter around for him to try and beat to get him on Calzaghe's level , if they had of fought id have taken Calzaghe but convincing UD possible late TKO .

P.S - Hopkins & Kesller both beat Dawson

He's got every chance to do so. He's already got a pretty impressive resume. And he might fight Hopkins next and if he beats him, it will be close to Calzgahe's already.

Considering the stacked SMW division and how many can easily jump up, Dawson's going to have every chance to do some great things.

to be honest.... clazghes best win is kessler, and dawsons best win is adamek. those 2 win's are very comparable.... If he best 1 or 2 more good fighters, he has it over joe already :D

Very much so, he didn't duck Glen Johnson twice, like Calzaghe did.

Chad has had very stellar opponents since grabbing that title, and lets not forget he beat Tomasz Adamek that had a seriously good run at cruiserweight after losing to Chad.

against HIS oposition he could always find a way to win.
i wonder how he'd fare against the good oposition that was in his time.
he wouldn't find a way to win then.
but this will always remain hypothtical because calzaghe was well protected (not like kessler though) .

that's a load of colorful lucios steamy crap.
    kessler p4p better than adamek.
adamek is a 175 fighter who is successful at 200.
Kessler is a 168 fighter that will get whooped whenever facing the elite of his division. both listed 6'1" BTW , which makes adamek the less rangy of the two for his weight classes. also fought the much better oposition.
some also say that calzaghe got a gift decision over hopkins.
you also forgot to mention eric harding who is better than anyone kessler has ever beaten.
adamek has beaten a shot O'neil bell - that's already more than what kessler will ever achieve even if he wins the super6.
when i saw this fight going to happen , i thought someone got mad.
maybe adamek wants to be consider brave and retire big time after his loss to dawson. facing bell after losing to dawson ? but he won ! by tko ! even when shot , bell is someone who can bang , doesn't he ?
will kessler ever face such a monster ?
of course not. did or will calzaghe. no again.
kessler in a p4p list is flushing that list down the sewer.

by the time calzaghe was dawson's age he only faced eubanks and reid of all you said. that's not adamek , johnsonX2 , tarverX2 , harding.

unlike calzaghe , he would have stopped roy.
he went one close fight with one man who KO'd roy , and two times outpointed the man who was 2(1):1(0) vs. roy with the loss being a disputed close MD.

    Yes.....

dawson calls out Joe as he fights RJJ.

Calzaghe kills RJJ, then states he isnt sure if its his last fight.

Dawson gets nervous, Calzaghe sets a date for when he announces his decision... Dawson 2 days before signs with Tarver, forcing Joe to retire as he isnt waiting around for a year to fight this hype job.

Dawson manipulated a scenario to duck Joe Calzaghe.

    The end.

calzaghe going the full 12 with roy is not a kill.
dawson had a rematch clause with tarver , he must have fought him again. it wasn't meant to duck calzaghe. also 2:0 over tarver , mean much more than 1:0 that also means alot BTW.
