Dude, there are people here on ESB with 20,000+ posts who are absolute ******s. There are people on here with a hundred posts who are brilliant.

But let me ask you a question(s), a type of Wellivermaniac survey.

What got you interested in posting about Welliver? With so few posts, yet so many about Chauncy, you must be drawn in by something.

How much boxing do you watch?

I watch a lot. I read about a ton. I put my fight picks online weekly now at the RC Challenge in the Lounge, I've interviewed a ton of boxers on the radio, talk to a bunch of guys regulalrly on FB, etc.etc.

From my experience, there are not many fighters, from any division, that compare to the level of whiskers on Welliver. Welliver's Whiskers are top notch.

And from my experience, the #1 asset needed to be a world class boxer is a world class chin. Tons of men can punch, but very few can take the best punches. There are great defensive exceptions and there are styles to hide a bad chin behind, like Wlad, but generally, world class guys have to be able to take world class punches well.

And from my experience, even at the world class level, very few men have chins on par with Welliver's Whiskers. McCall, Toney, BHop, Vitali, young Tua, guys like that are on par. Or Chauncy is on par with them. To me, his chin is beyond world class, it is an elite world class tool.

Also, from my experience, Welliver is also 1 of the best cardio HW's out there. He could go 12 rounds at 260/270/280. Many fit looking dudes cannot go rounds like he could as a fat kid. But now, at 230 pounds, he can go 12 much harder rounds and throw many more punches per round.

I like Welliver, as a person, but I also like him as a boxer. I would be comfortable even betting on this man vs a Klitschko. I would put a small bet on him to win. But I would put my major play on the over rounds. As long as we don't see another incompetent ref in there, even the Klitschko's cannot knock this guy down or out. :deal

Hey. I know Chauncy and if he wants to be taken seriously and given some real credibility for his ranking many (like yourself) feel is undeserved, he will be the first to admit that he needs a recognizable name and perceived live body.

Until he gets such a victory the criticism will keep rolling in.

That said, I think Chauncy's opportunity is bound to come eventually.

As for the logistics of making fights with guys like Darnell Wilson and Travis Walker, I wouldn't mind seeing those fights myself, as it would give us some way in which to gauge where Welliver stands right now.

I'll try and ask him about those two in particular sometime soon (unless he's addressed those names already in the thread).

I have a brilliant idea! There is a fighter who only lost 5 times in his 56 fight career. But unlike Welliver, he only lost at the hands of great fighters i.e Lennox, Wlad, Evander, Tyson and Moorer. He is an old man of 43 but would take any fight, anywhere. If Welliver takes this test and completely destroys this guy, I would think that would prove he is above par. Who of you already guessed who I am reffering to? White buffalo Francois Botha!

Personally I don't think a Botha win would do much for Chauncy.

I don't think he'd get much credit, even if he stopped him.

Botha has a date already set to get knocked out by another great............Michael Grant.

I don't think so. But that is both the beauty and the beast of the English language. World Class is not the same thing to very many people.

The only reason Chauncy is not across the board considered world class is because he is so feared for being world class. His chin is above world class level.

Over this last 2 years, Chauncy should have wins over then #2 WBO David Tua, and current WBO #12 Monte Barrett. Neither 1 of those guys had or have the stones to see this man, because he is world class.

Botha would get KTFO as well. Chauncy has said he will be spying that match and looking for a potential fight with the winner. Frans would be a great win coming off a Grant win, but I favor Big. And then Chauncy over Big if that were to happen.

Why do you keep repeating the nonsense about ABC rankings? Noone gives a f*ck about them, and they don't mean ****, unless you are a mandatory.
