I think Chavez has surprised us all inc Oscar, amazing how's gone from being a lazy arsed so and so to this motivated version,is he any good as I wasn't watching and certainly not following boxing when Chavez was fighting?

Well that's what I thought simply given both guys reputations,GGG known as a knockout artist who just come off a run of God knows how many fights and Chavezs reputation in the ring as appose to his lazy, overweight days.

Well just call me clueless bro
IMO this size advantage is not all that as Jr negates his own size advantage by leaning forward too much and Canelo will be the stronger guy on fight night
Hope I'm wrong and you bust my sack for months but I just don't think so bru

Well ****, I hope you're right cause I want to see Canelo vs GGG and
a loss here would have negative implications but it just seems like too many are simply dismissing Jr. here. If Canelo is thinking the same way, he's in for a hell of a surprise.

This is a tough fight for both, more for jr imho. An in fight shape jr could compete due to the amount of damage he can sustain from any mw. I still favor canelo with his ELITE talent tho. What I find troubling with this forum is the lack of respect jr gets. If jr wasn't chavez jr and just any old name the amount of praise he'd get would be sickening, he be the ultimate warrior and vastly over rated instead of trolled and vastly undervrated

I would suggest it's because of some disappointing training habits, with a resulting disappointing fight or two thrown in there. Rubs people the wrong way

It doesn't matter how Chavez looks or if he's 15 lbs heavier than Canelo. Canelo's better. Better punching technique, better punch selection, better defence, better footwork, better ring iq. Canelo is of course aware that Chavez's size and strength is his only advantage, so he'll box early and only take risk when he finds clear openings, but I think he's sure going to find them. Canelo will look like a James Toney master boxer. He'll probably hurt Jr with a huge shot and concusss him, but if not he'll dominate and beat him up till a ref stoppage. Chavez isn't winning, and the talent gap is so big that I'll be shocked if Canelo has to go the distance.

That fight last night where Omar viciously stopped Ramon has to give a much needed confidence booster to Chavez Jr. I seriously think if Chavez Jr would had been under Beristain for at least 2 yrs he'd PROBABLY been somewhere close to Zurdo Ramirez level, where he knew how to use his distance and not be so one dimensional. But it doesn't matter how much he wants it, Canelo most likely will beat his culo. Chavez Jr's only chance to win is by ko, but use his jab in the process. A very quick, snappy, strong jab. With Heredia at his side, anything is possible.
