Has Nathan got another mandatory in Braemer?Thought I heard his manager say they weren't going to fight him.Whats the position?
got this from the sun Hopkins is due to fight Karo Murat, beaten in 10 rounds by Cleverly, on July 27. On the same night Cleverly is scheduled for his second mandatory defence of his WBO belt against Juergen Braehmer.
Solid peformance. High workrate, good stamina, threw alot of shots. Defence was leaky as always and he got clipped several times but was never in troulbe. Advice from the corner was non existent. a usual clev performance.
:deal Hopefully the Sauerland's win if it goes to bids which I presume it will. He's got 89 days left to defend the belt anyway.
Breamer fights next Saturday in a EBU fight, dont know much about his opponent. Is this a easyish fight for him
Thanks Robert.Thought I heard his manager/promoter mumble something to the effect that they were going to avoid Braemer. If this is the case,I reckon its poor because although Braemer pulled out of the last one, through injury it was said,he got a gimme to get the title.Braemer IMO would be his toughest, apart from Bellew. But I reckon its one he can win,not least because of his southpaw sparring in the past and also a good fight.Hopkins etc can come later.
Don't see why not it would be his hardest fight to date, and we could then view him as a proper champion as he would've beaten the 'champion' eventually. Not easy but he's had plenty of those.
Vince is the worst trainer in the game, if anyone could make a montage of last night then it would be the funniest thing from a corner. Going into the last round, all he said was "well done son, you're doing great, you're world champion, Hopkins, Dawson the lot of them are next"
