Cotto actually has a pretty good defense vs Jabs...his issue comes to light when faced with high volume power punching, he loses focus and gets tagged because of it. Cotto's best chance at damaging PBF's face would be to initiate his own Jab and attempt to punch with Floyd when he executes his vaunted right hand. I know many on this forum would say Floyd's right hand is faster than Cotto's jab but I'd give Cotto's jab a slight edge in speed when compared to Floyds right hand. Look at the delivery and the point of release Cotto must punch with Floyd when he shoots that right his jab is hard enough to offset Floyd and when Floyd goes on the defense circle him and attack the body, circle left and shoot his own right hand.

As much as I would LOVE to see floyed get KO'd, he is tooooo Godly at this sport.

He is quite Godly, but fighters with a decent overall knowledge and a well rounded attack can and will hit Floyd. Floyds offense is not overwhelming and his strength is comprable when compared to Cotto. If this becomes a chess game do not underestimate Cotto's ability to adjust and evolve as the fight progresses. With Margo he was overwhelmed and clearly unprepared physically to handle the pressure (Floyd won't pose the same problem) with Manny he was blistered by his angles, notice the majority of the knock downs and big hits came from unorthodox angles (Floyd is much more orthodox) I implore all to rethink and repost....:good

You'll be lucky to see Cotto land a meaningful shot. Let alone bust his face up - something that no fighter has even come close to doing.

floyd won't get busted up. he'd be using them elbows, ducking low, punch then clinch so as not to be hit.

He might get in a nice shot here and there but I doubt Floyds face would get bust up anyway....his face doesnt seem to bruise regardless of how many shots are landed.

Floyd has a 5 inch reach advantage. Youre delusional if u think cotto will get their first with the jab. Floyd is much faster. Dont know who lied to you.

Cotto needs to slow Mayweather by using the precise body blows he used on Judah...

Floyd has pretty much said he will implement the wrong game plan.
This will be a fun event and Floyd will eat some punches.

All I know is Cotto is not showing up for hugs and glove touches, he's showing up to win. No way will he punch himself out in 2 rounds either. I'm pretty pumped for this fight regardless of who wins.

Mosley enjoyed a 2 inch reach advantage against Floyd as an old man and was able to tag him a time or two...BADLY I might add.

Cotto beat Mosley to the punch as a younger "veteran" with a bigger reach, what makes you think Cotto can't do the same with Floyd?

I might also add that not too many opponents leave Cotto unscathed. Even in his losses, Pacquiao and Margarito both looked ****ED UP.

Clottey is really the only person that comes to mind that walked away okay, but that guy always walks away okay for obvious reasons.
