Will COTTO Be an ATG (?)

It would just be a very good fight. Cotto cuts off the ring and applied intelligent pressure, JMM likes to box and counter. Cotto ain't going anywhere south of 147 again. Seems like it would be a fun fight to watch.

Thinking about it more, it kind of makes sense to happen right now. If Cotto wins, he can come into the Pac rematch with some validity. Another one in the books for a Mexico vs PR rivalry as well.

 

No, but extremely close. I still maintain that even the past Peurto Rican fighters including Trinidad are better. I still wouldn't consider Trinidad an ATG either.

The ATG Peurto Rican fighters are Benitez, Gomez, Carlos Ortiz, De Jesus, and Torres.

I don't understand why everyone wants Cotto to fight Martinez, a bonafied ww against a small jww, how is that a good match up? Using that logic, put any jww or ww in the ring with a heavyweight, and if they win, automatic atg status. Whatever!

I was a fan of Cotto before his disgraceful gift vs Clottey. Then I realized he was another overrated Top Rank Hype job like Cheato and Pac.

 

:think Huh, I guessed that fight would have made you more of a fan. Cotto got a KD on Clottey, received a giant gash thanks to an intentional headbutt, had to box smart since he was practically blind in that eye, had no corner, yet still pulled out the victory on grit and determination.

Had Clottey thrown some punches instead of hiding in his shell, he may have got the nod.
