He won't make it because Sergio won't be standing past the 8th.

 

If cotto makes it to round 12 then Martinez has slipped quite some way

I'm admittedly biased, but, I think cottos the best Martinez has ever faced. I'm hopeful cotto will win but I know Sergio is a dog and it will be a war. I just don't see why people think cotto is so over matched here.

 

I think he'll make it to the end.

 

Only way he does is if he goes into survival mode like he did against Pacquiao.

Why are people giving him no chance here? I admit after the trout fight I thought he should retire, he looked awful in that fight. If that cotto shows up he's baked. But I think Freddie has rejuvenated him and a good version of him, not the best, will show up.

I am beginning to trust in Roach's gameplans and decisions on who his charge will fight. He guided Manny up in weight and carefully chose the opponents that he would and did beat. He is also doing with this with Cotto, and Roach has a great track record here. With all this in mind, I am starting to believe Cotto has a real chance of coming out the victor on the 7th.

 

I don't understand why everyone is completely overlooking Cotto in this one. Both are clearly washed up but Martinez is suffering serious injuries going into this fight and over a year of inactivity.

 

If Sergio doesn't quit due to injury, Cotto is getting stopped I think.
